As noted on our home page, we are sorry to inform you that Aetna has cancelled our contract with their corporation.  As of August 11, 2010 we are no longer contracted Aetna providers.  As many of you know we have had a disagreement with Aetna over their underpayment for some of the vaccines we routinely give to children.  As you can see from the letter to Aetna from the president of the American Academy of Pediatrics (click HERE to see the letter), we are not alone in our dispute with the company.  We would like to continue to provide care for your family but cannot continue to do so at a loss to our office.  If you have the option to choose another health insurance company with which we are contracted, we would be happy to remain as your child’s pediatricians.  You may check the list of insurance plans that we accept HERE.  Also, we encourage you to contact the employee benefits personnel at your place of employment and let them know of the concerns the AAP has with Aetna and their payment methods.

Again, we hope we may continue to care for your children and we are sorry that your insurance company’s decision has made it necessary for you to find another pediatrician.  If in the future your insurance changes to a company that has a contract with us, we will be happy to take your children back as our patients.  Click HERE for a transfer of records form which you may submit to transfer records to another office.
